The subject of the project is a great deal of tasks which
include not only renovation of the existing monument objects
but also the foundation of appropriate structures for comfortable
and safe access considering the growing number of tourists
and the necessity of cultural protection against devastation.
The project includes:
a) tasks considering the preservation of technical durability
of monuments:
- renovation of 25 Wejherowski’s Calvary chapels(protection
of walls and vaults, chapels’ renovation, renovation
of baroque paintings and sculptures, strengthening the falling
sides where chapels are situated), cubature of the renovated
chapels – 7016, 08m3, the area of restored chapels
– 918m2.
- renovation of miss Keyserlingk tombstone on Golgotha
hill.
b) the tasks improving th availability and functioning of
monuments:
- econstruction and repairing of forest roads (4,9km) along
with shaping, strengthening, partial renovation and repairing
of numerous stairs,
- creation of road and alleys system lighting along with
the illumination of the monuments -130 outside light point,
- creation of new parking lots and stopover places for
motorized tourists and bikes
- 72 parking places (60 places for cars and 12 places for
buses),
- creation and reconstruction of the small architecture
objects on the area of Calvary in the boundaries of present
Scenery Park (benches, sanitary resource base, street springs-
3 pieces, etc.), including forest preservation –nature
monuments,
- in the range of approach road making the communicative
sets, making the signing and pavements installation,
- instilling of the anti-break in and anti-fire systems
in the chapels (monitoring),
- renovation of bike routes on the way crossing the Calvary
path,
- Restoration of the objects- stucco interior- 7 objects,
oil paintings- 16 pieces, paintings on the plaster- 8 pieces,
stucco portals – 6 pieces, stone portals- 2 pieces,
wooden sculptures- 4 pieces, stone sculptures- 7 pieces,
wooden altars – 4 pieces, stone altars – 4 pieces,
stone internal chapels – 4 pieces,
c) tasks promoting the cultural heritage of Pomerania:
- organizing information centre about Wejherowski’s
Calvary and the region in The Literature and Cashubia-Pomerania
Music Museum (equipment purchasing) – in the entrance
hall,
- preparation of picture and historic documents copies
exhibition (adaptation of the room and purchase of the equipment)
in The Literature and Cashubia-Pomerania Music Museum –room
no. 1.17,
- creation of cultural-tourist information centre along
with the exhibition room in the town hall, where the maquette
of Calvary will be placed ( room adaptation, maquette purchase,
making the map of Calvary on the wall in s-graffitto technique),
- making the web site.
